When you know you’ve got something good going on, why quit? This sentiment is exactly what Minuteman UPS/Para Systems (News - Alert) was thinking when the power protection provider decided to extend its instant April rebates into May.

“The response to these rebates has been very positive, and we have found that many of our distributor and reseller customers have been able to win business with the pricing advantage they provided,” Duston Nixon, marketing communications specialist for Minuteman, told TMCnet. “Users have also been excited to take advantage of the lower prices, particularly on the external battery packs. In light of these positives, it was really a no-brainer for us to extend them another month.”

Since the end of March, and until the end of May, Minuteman – a provider of power protection units – has been promoting instant rebates on its best mission-critical UPSs including the EnterprisePlus and Endeavor Series UPSs. The company chose to feature the EnterprisePlus and Endeavor Series for the instant rebates because Minuteman contends that theseunits provide a “tremendous” combination of features and value not typically found in these higher levels of UPS.

The Endeavor Series, a true on-line rack/wall/tower UPSs for sensitive electronic equipment and critical servers, network devices, and phone systems, boasts double-conversion, true sine wave output, and zero transfer time for mission critical apps. The power protection unit combines its double-conversion technology with extended runtime capability in a versatile case design, according to company officials. It comes with a three-year warranty and five-year extended warranty.

Minuteman’s EnterprisePlus Series, also eligible for an instant rebate, is a line interactive sine wave rack/wall/tower UPS for sensitive electronic equipment and critical servers, network devices, and phone systems. It offers true sine wave output and versatile configuration options for a full range of applications, officials said. It also boasts automatic voltage regulation, extended runtime, and three- and five-year warranties.

So what else should customers know about Minuteman’s offerings that they might not already know?

“As our comparisons on both the EnterprisePlus and Endeavor show, they represent a tremendous value compared to competitive models,” Nixon said. “The Endeavor 3000, for example, offers comparable or better features across the board, while coming in at a 47 percent lower resale price than APC (News - Alert). This makes these units a perfect option for small to medium sized businesses looking to maximize their budgets.”

In other company news, Minuteman recently spread the word that for those nostalgic for those good ole’ school days, the power protection company is offering a solution. The company recently unveiled its On-Demand Training Center so those in the industry can start having those rousing discussions again, train on their own schedules and receive BICSI (News - Alert) Continuing Education Credits, which are oftentimes required for various certifications through the organization.

The presentation offered by Minuteman will cover the basics of electricity, problems present in utility power, the types of power protection, and the tools for building trouble-free power protection systems. Other topics to be covered include four major components of electricity; simple cabinet/rack installation and common terms and definitions.
